They’ve spent decades at the center of beauty, reality TV and medicine, but Heather and Dr. Terry Dubrow are not slowing down anytime soon. With both premiering new shows this summer (Heather returns to The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 19 and Dr. Dubrow’s new Plastic Surgery Rewind on E!) the duo is once again bringing beauty onto our TV screens and they stopped to chat with The Beauty Authority about the latest celebrity plastic surgery trends.
The Truth About Hollywood Plastic Surgery
When it comes to Kris Jenner’s facelift and Kylie Jenner’s breast augmentation revelations, Dr. Dubrow says transparency is good, but we should hear about the good and the bad. “I think it’s really important that people see both sides,” he says. “Plastic surgery is as serious as cancer or trauma surgery. You don’t just get it and walk away, there are consequences and sometimes regret.”
His upcoming show explores just that: celebrities who move into a house together to unpack their plastic surgery decisions and, with the help of experts, decide whether to reverse them. “It’s not about shame, it’s about reflection,” he adds.
Heather echoes the sentiment, noting that while it’s refreshing to see celebrities be honest, it comes with responsibility. “It’s one thing to say, ‘Here’s my doctor,’ but you also have to say, ‘Here’s what I learned and what I wish I’d known.’ Not just, ‘Go do it too.’ That’s what’s dangerous.”
Which Longevity Trends Really Work?
The couple is also leaning into the evolving conversation around longevity, wellness and aesthetic enhancement. From GLP-1s and NAD to buzzy regenerative treatments like salmon sperm facials (Heather’s a fan), they see the wellness space becoming increasingly intertwined with plastic surgery.
“I’ve tried NAD as a nasal spray and I didn’t feel a big difference personally,” Heather shared. “But what works for one person might not work for another. For women going through menopause like me, it really becomes about finding your own cocktail.”
Dr. Dubrow adds that while many longevity treatments sound promising, the science is still catching up and that’s why they’re taking matters into their own hands. “We’re launching a new initiative where we’ll test these things on ourselves and share the honest results,” he shares. “We want to cut through the noise and give people real answers.”
That same spirit of evidence-based beauty is behind the couple’s skin-care line, Consulte Beaute, which is wildly popular on QVC. “We’ve been developing formulas that actually work, with biodesigned peptides and high-grade hyaluronic acid,” says Dr. Dubrow. “Not everything needs to be invasive. If you use the right actives, you can see real results.”
Their definition of success these days? A little less glam, a little more grounded after returning from a rare sun-filled vacation. “We don’t recommend this much sun,” says Heather. “But we do recommend enjoying your life and doing what makes you feel strong and confident in your own skin.”
